About Sara
Sara Gauvreau is the Academic Director of North Miami Beach Academy and a passionate advocate for the student-athlete experience. With a Master's in Applied Human Nutrition and Cognitive Behavior and 18 years of experience working across three continents with professional and amateur athletes — juniors, adults, and the general population — Sara brings a uniquely holistic approach to performance and development.
As a Certified Sports Nutritionist, Sara specializes in personalized nutrition education programs for youth and adults, helping athletes establish healthy eating habits for preventive care, weight management, and optimum performance. Her sports nutrition focus centers on research-proven fueling and hydration techniques covering energy storage and usage, muscle build and repair, body composition, fat burn, recovery, and preventive care.
In the area of fitness, Sara delivers goal-focused training for amateur and professional athletes using the ACE IFT model for cardiovascular and strength training, incorporating HIIT, functional training, BOSU, TRX, and yoga stretching techniques. Her work covers athletic development, coordination, agility for junior athletes, weight management, cardiovascular health, and improved athletic performance.
As a Health Coach, Sara assists individuals who require a change in creating a healthier lifestyle — conducting in-depth analysis of each person's current habits and perceptions relating to food, exercise, and stress, then developing realistic programs built around SMART goals for continued success and positive results.
At NMBA, Sara works closely with teams at both Miami locations to ensure every Academy student always comes first — progressing to their full potential in sport and academics alike.
